Title / Position: Receptionist / Switchboard Operator
Position type: Seasonal, Part-time; Hourly, Non-Exempt (Saturday and Sunday)
Reports to: Marketing Manager

Summary: Primary responsibility is to answer and direct phone calls, greet guests, and administrative functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Open and close phones daily; during the winter season this includes remaining open until Ski Patrol has completed sweep
Direct all in-coming calls to proper departments
In charge of mountain radio for any on mountain problems
Assist all visitors that approach the reception window
Announce all visitors
Assist any department with mass mailing, etc.
Enter customer data into the Ryan Solutions Client Portal. Accuracy of data is crucial.
Complete weather updates daily by noon.

Provide employees with letter of introduction for reciprocal resort benefits during summer and winter seasons
Assist the Lead Switchboard Operator as needed with:
Donation Request Administration - receive, submit, record and fill approved requests.
Phone company, and maintain phone tree, auto attendant recordings and extensions
Office Supplies – track and order as needed
All office contracts, such as bottled water, Ricoh copier, mail machine, phone system, coffee orders
Information Books: update as needed seasonally/yearly
Winter Lockers: organize rentals, collect payments, mailings.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
16 years of age or older
Punctual and prepared to perform work duties
Must be able to project image established by the company
Must be able to type
Proficient in MS Office a must
Appropriate phone etiquette a must
Adaptable, quick thinking and a team player
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment:
This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, mail machines, and fax machines. Occasional work outdoors (any time of year) is likely throughout the base of operations.
Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role working indoors using computers and phones for extended periods; however, some movement and work around the entire resort is necessary.
