The Blue Ribbon Quad is now OPEN - Enjoy summit access!
We're working fast today... Avalanche, Glade, and Everglade are now open! Head on over to those trails to get first tracks for the season!
It's a winter wonderland out on the slopes today! I hope you're enjoying the buttery soft powder. Ski Patrol and Mountain Ops are working hard to drop ropes on as many trails as possible, but due to challenging conditions at the summit, we're going to stick with mid-mountain and below for the time being. We're monitoring conditions closely and will be sure to keep you updated on trail and lift openings as the day continues.
Snow is now totaling 8 inches and counting!
Due to high winds, the Sun Mountain Express and Blue Ribbon Quad will have a delayed start, so 4 lifts will spin at 8:30am with 2 to start spinning later in the day.
Rise and shine, Bromley Fam - it's a SNOW DAY!
Old Man Winter decided to visit Bromley Mountain for the holiday weekend (who can blame him?!) and that powder day we've all been hoping for is finally here. We're at 6 inches so far and it's been dumping for the past few hours, with heavy snowfall expected to continue throughout the morning, making way for lighter snow and possible mixed precipitation later in the day. Potential high winds at the summit could impact lift operations, so be sure to check back throughout the morning for the latest updates. Rest assured that our incredible team is working hard to give us an absolutely epic day on the slopes!
If all goes according to plan, we'll have 6 lifts spinning from 8:30am - 4:00pm today: the Sun Mountain Express, Blue Ribbon Quad, Alpine Double, Sun Double, East Meadow Double, and Star Carpet. After we drop ropes on Plaza this morning, we'll have 30 (count 'em, 30!) trails open for your skiing and riding enjoyment. You'll be able to access ~100 acres of terrain, with trails for all levels, from beginner to expert. For all our terrain park fans, the Garden is in BLOOM! The Bromley Parks team has created a playground complete with rails, boxes, jumps, and a butter pad.
Temps at the base of the mountain will be mild today, ranging from 32° to 35°. At the summit, temperatures will reach 30°. We're closely tracking southeast winds blowing in at the base at 20-35mph and at the summit at 30-50mph. Visibility might be a bit challenging as the snow continues to fall, but hey, it's a powder day!
Have fun on the slopes - I'll see you out there!
