Frequently Asked Questions
For what to wear & what to expect for your first time skiing/snowboarding click here.
How early should I arrive at Bromley prior to my lesson time?
We recommend that you arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your lesson, that way you'll have adequate time to move through our ticketing process and our rental process.
If my child is progressing, will they move my child up?
Yes. Ski and snowboard staff constantly assesses and makes the necessary adjustments so children are in the correct class.
My child’s friend/cousin/sibling is coming to Kidsrule today; can they be in the same class?
If the children are the same age and level, they can most likely be in the same class. If not, the older child or upper level child would move to the younger age or lower level. This arrangement is made with the on-snow supervisor.
What's the difference between KidsRule and the Kids Center?
Kidsrule Mountain Camps is our all-day, on snow program for children ages 5-12. They offer both ski and snowboard lessons. This program runs from 9:45am - 2:45pm, and meets on snow. Lunch is included.
The Kids Center is our on-site childcare center. Offering childcare (ages 6 weeks- 6 years) and childcare with skiing (2.5 years - 6 years). Lessons (skiing only) range from a ½ on the snow to 3 hours on the snow. We hope the age overlap helps you pick the right program for your developing child!
Can I pick up my child's equipment the day before without being charged?
Yes! Kidsrule is even open late, until 5pm Friday & Saturday evenings. We encourage you to stop by the afternoon prior to your lesson for rental equipment, especially during holiday periods. It helps keep the next day more relaxed for all!
Can I leave my child’s medication with you?
Ski and snowboard staff CAN NOT administer injections/medication to children. However, the medication may be left at the desk. If the event of an emergency, the parent will be called and first-aid will be contacted.
If a child requires Tylenol or Advil, the parent will be contacted for permission and the child will be taken to first-aid.
What will my child have for lunch?
Macaroni and cheese is available everyday, plus each day one featured item will be offered from the following: hamburgers, chicken nuggets, pizza, hot dogs or grilled cheese.
Children will also have a healthy selection of snacks to choose from. They are: fresh fruit, pretzels, cheese sticks, applesauce, and yogurt. Children can choose juice or water to drink. KidsRule is a peanut free zone.
My child is allergic to _______ (fill in the blank).
Kidsrule is a peanut free zone.
Gluten-free options are available from the cafeteria upon request.
Please be sure to notify us of all food allergies when registering for Kidsrule!
Can I see my child at lunch?
The Kidsrule lunchroom is for staff and children only. Parents are more than welcome to stop at the desk to check on their children. Kidsrule staff will find the children in the lunchroom and bring them to the desk.
It is recommended that parents stop by 15-20 minutes after lunch begins. This window of time allows for staff to confirm that every group has arrived and is seated.
When will my child eat lunch?
Weekdays, Non-Peak, lunch is served at noon.
Weekend/Peak Periods may vary, and depend on the number of children we're hosting that particular day. Two lunches is very common on Saturdays and during Peak Periods, and they are typically at 11:30 and 12:30 (subject to change).
