Happy Solstice, Sun Mountain!

The days have started getting longer, the sun is shining brighter, and more snow is on the way! We could see 5+ inches on Tuesday, and our trail roster just keeps growing. Bromley has had the best snow surface in SoVT, with **nearly 50” on the season**, and it’s only getting better! Snowmakers fired up the guns again last night, and the Sun Mountain is on track to have a record number of snowmaking trails open for the holiday period! Vacation skiing &amp; riding is on the horizon, so it’s time to stuff that stocking with a Season Pass or lift ticket (valid any day), and make your plans to be at Bromley!

4 lifts are scheduled today, with 20 trails to ski &amp; ride under sunny skies. The summit-bound Sun Mountain Express, mid-mountain Alpine Chair, beginner-friendly East Meadow Chair, and Kirby’s Magic Carpet will guide us to a fab variety of pristinely groomed terrain for all abilities. A majority of our snowmaking slopes, and nearly all beginner terrain is open, and snowmakers are back in action on Plaza, Prayer, Sunset Pass, &amp; Run Around #1. Bromley’s formidable snowmakers have truly outdone themselves this season, breaking snowmaking records left and right, and working with our veteran grooming team to make the most extraordinary ski &amp; ride surface. #thankasnowmaker

The forecast calls for a bluebird Monday, followed by “free-refills” Tuesday, with snow showers beginning very late tonight and continuing all day tomorrow. Temperatures will be chillin' in the high teens today, with the Big Bromley Sun shining bright. The wind is hanging around today, and while it should be calmer than yesterday, wind chills will be lower than normal for this time of year. If you need an extra layer, or you still need to do your holiday shopping, Potter Brothers Ski Shop has some sweet new Bromley merch!

The Winter Solstice has been one of the most significant yearly events on our little planet since ancient times. Winter solstice occurs when the north pole reaches its maximum tilt away from the Sun, and a variety of cultures have considered it the moment when the Sun is reborn. For Sun Mountaineers, Solstice is a major moment too, as we enter the heart of the season, and our namesake, The Big Bromley Sun, begins get stronger and stronger every day. We’ve had a great season already, and we’re only getting started!

Chairlift Hours of Operation: Midweek: 9am-4pm; Weekends/Holidays: 8:30am-4pm

Uphill Travel is open daily from dawn to dusk. Please keep your pass visible, stick to designated routes, and stay alert around all mountain operations and equipment.

Please park in the main lot through the tunnel. There is no parking in the drop-off zone.

Safety is everyone's responsibility. Please stick to open trails only. If a trail is closed, it's closed for a reason and that reason is your safety.

Lift operations are always weather dependent, as safety is always our greatest concern. Keep an eye on the snow report or our socials for any changes to our daily plan.
